When Sebastian Hughes struck tough times he became homeless and landed at the homeless shelter Salvation Army Hospitality House. Hughes’s mounting grief was soon changed to relief once he discovered the number of services that were available to assist him to get his life back on track.
Sebastian befriended homeless residents in the shelter along with other homeless people living in the streets. While living within the homeless community Hughes heard their stories, watched their personal struggles, witnessed their addictions first hand and the triumphs of some residents who overcame.
After living at the shelter for six months Hughes got his life back on track using a number of services and programs he had discovered. He then decided to create a documentary television series in order to help address the critical problem of homelessness.
This is his journey. A real close and personal look into the lives of homelessness and an inside view of the television industry as Sebastian struggles to get America’s Homeless Uncensored to air on a major network.
